Upper Peninsula Tree Identification is a wonderful hobby for tree
enthusiast and novice alike. There are 15 counties in the Upper
Peninsula of Michigan. There seems to be a uniformity of tree types
except for some differences. Each county varies in the abundance
of tree species. Delta County has 602,200 acres of forest. Data
for Delta county tree species is as follows:

It is hoped that in the future, pictures will be provided on this
site for trees found in Escanaba, Michigan. It would be wonderful
if a tree identification contest could be set up to identify trees
in the area. If you are interested in setting up a contest, please
contact us. There is one that is held every year in Indiana at the
Fitness Farm.
